Scope of Works
Brick-built commercial outbuilding with triple glazing, steel-reinforced security doors and security-by-design specification throughout
When a client's business handles high-value items on a daily basis, the building that houses it has to do more than provide shelter - it has to be part of the security strategy. This project was designed from the ground up with that principle in mind.
The client operates a commercial jewellery cleaning operation and needed a dedicated building that would satisfy the requirements of their commercial insurers while integrating naturally into the property. The result is a brick-built outbuilding with a traditional hipped roof - robust, well-proportioned and unassuming from the outside.
The security specification drove every detail. Triple glazed units were installed throughout, providing both thermal efficiency and a meaningful physical barrier. The aluminium window and door frames were sourced from a commercial security range, designed to resist forced entry, and the access doors are steel-reinforced security units with multi-point locking. The blockwork cavity walls were detailed to provide structural rigidity well beyond what a standard residential build would require.
The interior layout was planned around the client's operational workflow, ensuring that the building functions as efficiently as it is secure. The finished unit has met all insurance requirements and gives the client confidence to operate their business knowing their stock and equipment are properly protected.
